Die Ärzte Announce Their Return to the Stage in 2019

By Stephen Fuchs on Email @StephenWFuchs

Germany’s most successful punk rock band Die Ärzte has been absent from the stage for more than six years, but fans of this legendary band got an unexpected gift this week when the group announced it will be making a comeback to headline 2019’s Rock am Ring and Rock im Park music festivals.

This headlining event may be the only chance for fans to see Die Ärzte perform live on stage as the band is teasing the Ring und Park comeback as “the first and only guaranteed performances of Die Ärzte in Germany in 2019”.

Die Ärzte released their last studio album Auch in 2012 and have remained relatively quiet until this comeback announcement. With the concerts still a year away — June 7-9, 2019 — there’s still time for the group to offer up some new surprises for their diehard fans. Perhaps news of a new album?

Early bird tickets for 2019’s Ring und Park festivals went on sale today and can be purchased on their respective websites: Rock am Ring & Rock im Park.
