The 63rd annual Eurovision Song Contest is set to crown this year’s winning nation on Saturday (May 12) in Lisbon, Portugal, and if you’re itching to see all 26 finalists sing their hearts out as it happens without using a bootleg stream or VPN in the US, you’re in luck.
For the third year, cable channel Logo will be bringing the event live and commercial-free to American audiences with Ross Mathews and Shangela from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” serving up some colorful commentary.
Germany has struggled in recent Eurovision’s, finding itself stuck at the bottom of the list. To help their chances for this year’s competition, Germany revamped its selection process with the hopes that it can pull off a win.
Singer-songwriter Michael Schulte will represent Germany with his heartfelt ballad “You Let Me Walk Alone”, written in memory of his father who passed away when he was only 13.
Can this emotion performance bring Germany back to the top? The most recent predictions don’t see Germany taking the win as Cyprus or Isreal are leading the way as this year’s favorites, but Germany is at least expected to pull away from the bottom.
