By now you’ve finished the second season of Stranger Things and are desperately waiting for the next adventure into the upside down that is most likely not coming for another Eleven months. But instead of re-watching past episodes or stalking fan sites to find the latest fix, Netflix has a possible new obsession in store for you with the German original series Dark, out December 1, and the latest trailer shows just how much of a crazy ride that could be.
Dark appears to be heading down several paths with the storyline in the trailer, but all trails are looking to converge into one twisted supernatural mystery that taps into the Stranger Things appeal but with a twist that should hopefully allow this series to stand on its own.
The latest trailer reveals a lot without revealing too much, if that makes any sense, and backs up what we’ve mostly known about the main storyline at this point. Four families have their lives disrupted. Two boys disappear. A small German town has a supernatural past that is coming back strong to turn these lives upside down.
All 10 episodes of Dark will be released on Netflix on December 1, and it only marks the beginning of the exciting efforts the company is making in producing provoking new German content for the world.
