For over 40 years, Aldi has spread through the U.S. with no competition from its German rival Lidl, but that will soon be a thing of the past when the rivalry kicks off in just a few months as the first Lidl stores will open to customers looking for some new German flare in the grocery aisle.
We first started covering the news of Lidl’s U.S. entrance in early 2015, and we know how much our readers are interested in finding out if one of these new stores will be coming to their town, so we did a little digging to find the first stores expected to be launching in the very near future.
Keep an eye out for one of these stores in your area, and based on the latest rendering from Lidl on what they will look like (above image), it should be easy to find. Let us know if you find one not on our list.
Update: With the first round of stores open, we will be updating this list with the opening dates and any other confirmed store locations.
