As the old saying goes, ‘people who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones’, but what about people who live in wood houses? Don’t jump ahead now, I know most houses are indeed made of wood, but how much wood can a woodchuck chuck if a… you can stop me there.
All joking aside, Baufritz, a German architectural firm, wanted a way to showcase its expertise in wood, and instead of telling its potential customers how good they were, they decided to take things up a notch by building the ultimate home of wood.
The house, which has been named The Flagship, is simply stunning, even with its excessive amount of wood. If you like wood, you would love this house. Not only is the wood exterior elaborate and beautiful, the motif is carried all the way through the house, both with the furniture and the various fixtures like the sink and tub (you better hope tat one is splinter proof). It is a testament to the age-old German engineering.
