KFC’s may be fingerlickin’ good, but those messy fingers pose a problem for customers that must use their phone while they eat. At least that’s the problem the fast food chain set out to solve in some newly opened German locations when they introduced the KFC Tray Typer – a super-thin bluetooth keyboard that replaces the traditional paper tray insert.
The new trays were handed out to customers during the opening week of some German locations and apparently the inserts were a huge hit. Social media mentions blew up in the locations where the trays were being handed out, and according to the creator of the campaign, every single keyboard was taken home… something that was anticipated and encouraged.
