Steuben Parade Chicago 2013

Last year we returned for our second appearances in the Chicago and New York City Steuben Parades and we’re pleased to announce that we will be doing it again this year!  One of the best parts of last year was meeting some of our readers who came out to join us in the parades and we are once again inviting all of you to march with us this year.

The Chicago parade will be taking place on Saturday September 6 at 1:30, and ends up at the German Day festival grounds where last year we enjoyed some great German food and beer with those who marched with us.  We’d be happy to meet with even more of our Chicagoland readers this year.

Two weeks after Chicago we will be making the trip to New York City for a whole weekend of activities.  Starting on the night before the parade, September 19, we will once again by attending the Steuben Parade Gala aboard the Hornblower Infinity , which we feel is the most elegant German-American event in the country.  The main event is then on September 20 where we hope our New York readers will join us as we march down Fifth Avenue with fellow groups from the US, Canada, and Germany.

Again, this is a great opportunity to not only share our pride in our heritage but to also meet our readers. If you are interested in marching with us in Chicago or New York, send an email to [email protected] and state which parade you want to take part in and we will send you the lineup details as soon as we get them.
