Residents from the Contilla Retirement Group in Essen, Germany, got a little taste of Hollywood when they got in front of the cameras to create a calendar paying homage to some of the most iconic scenes in cinema. The seniors, ranging in age from 75 to 98, re-created twelve movie scenes for the calendar, which was given to residents, staff, and family members.
The images are quite charming, especially the couple reenacting the iconic “I’m flying” scene from Titanic. Others are simply amusing, such as 89-year-old Wilhelm Buiting acting as James Bond and 78-year-old Erna Schenk with her flying umbrella in a Mary Poppins recreation.
While the calendar doesn’t appear to be going on sale for the public, Contilla has made a pdf version available for viewing or download online. To view all of the photos, check out the pdf or click here.
