The German American Committee of Greater New York has just announced that Robert Radske will be taking on the role of General Chairman for the 2014 German-American Steuben Parade in NYC, taking over for Lars Halter, who has led the parade to success for the last seven years.
Lars Halter has decided to leave the position he has held to pursue exciting new ventures in his life, and has left big shoes for Radske to fill. “We have seen our Parade reach new heights under the leadership of outgoing General Chairman Lars Halter, and we look forward to more crowd pleasing festivities with Bob guiding the Parade this year and into the future”, said President Mike Rabus.
Robert Radske has acted as Parade Float Chairman and a member of the parade’s Executive Committee since 2009 and brings along experience as a professional engineer in NYC for the last 30 years.
Every year the Steuben Parade in NYC brings together one of the largest gatherings of German-Americans in the United States to showcase the culture from the past and present. This year the parade will be celebrating its 57th year, and as always will honor the German-American contributions to this country and the friendship between the United States and Germany.
