It’s that time of the year again where the German Pulse crew is packing up to head to the Steuben Day festivities in New York City! Chicago had their own run at it earlier this month and we are ready for more… are you?
New York’s Steuben parade is the largest German-American parade in the United States, and after being a part of it for the first time last year, we couldn’t resist coming back to do it all over again. In fact, we are going to be spending some extra time in New York City this year so that we can take in more of the German experience the city has to offer. That means if you are one of our many New York readers, pay attention to our Twitter and Facebook pages to find out about our upcoming meet-ups.
Of course the highlight of the Steuben Day activities is the Steuben parade on Saturday, September 21, and if you want to be a part of event with German Pulse this year, we still have a few spots open for you to join us. All of our marchers will receive a free German Pulse t-shirt to wear, and this year we have a special guest joining us. We only have a limited amount of spots open, so if you are interested, send an email to [email protected] with the number of people you wish to bring along.
On Sunday, September 22, we will be attending the official Steuben Parade After-Party. Pay attention to our Facebook and Twitter accounts for the full details on this, as well as info on possible giveaways when you find us there.
We would like to thank our sponsors who are supporting us for both the Chicago and New York Steuben Day events. Hofbräu, Air Berlin, and Marshall Wolf Automation are our Platinum Sponsors this year, and we can’t thank them enough for making it possible for us to participate in these events. We’d also like to thank Berlinica for providing chocolates to us to hand out to those watching the parade. It is the support of the German-American community that keeps us going every day!
Due to all of the activity, things will be a bit quieter on out site the next several days, but we will be back in full swing on Tuesday, September 24. In the meantime, we hope to meet some of you on our trek through the Big Apple!
