If you can’t make it out to the world-famous Oktoberfest in Munich, consider checking out the largest Oktoberfest in New York City’s Central Park. Just like the original Oktoberfest, New York will be celebrating in September. Tickets for the Steuben Parade Oktoberfest, taking place on September 21, are on sale now, but act quick as they have typically sold out soon after going on sale in the past.
From 1:30pm to 7pm, you can enjoy authentic German food, Hofbräu, Bitburger, Dinkelacker, and Erdinger beer, and of course live music by “Die Schlauberger” and “Spitze”. One of the most entertaining events every year is the official Masskrugstemmen, which is the national beer stein holding contest presented by Hofbräu. Contestants who won the their regional competitions compete on the Central Park Mainstage to win not only the title but a trip to Munich.
Tickets are $20, but if you want an even greater experience this year, there are a limited amount of VIP tickets available for $100, which includes free food and beer! That is a great deal, but again, act fast as there are only 100 VIP tickets available.
