Yes, Rosemont’s Hofbräuhaus Chicago has officially been open for a little over a month now, but on March 18th, the popular German restaurant and beer hall that has quickly made a name for itself in the Chicagoland area will be holding its official grand opening ceremony. Since its January 21 opening, the Hofbräuhaus claimed it has been in a soft opening where they could slowly get things up and running.
Unlike the opening event back in January, which was limited to press and special VIPs, the grand opening event will be open to the public. Reservations will not be available for the festivities, so if you plan to attend, make sure you arrive early before the 5pm event.
There will be the usual live music performed by the Austrian band Die Reiflinger, along with special local German talent and officials coming in from Germany. It should be a great night for anyone that attends.
We will have more information as the event gets closer and more details become available. In the meantime, check out some video highlights of the Garry in the Haus segment from WGN’s Radio 720 which was broadcast at the Hofbräuhaus Chicago last Friday, now available at wgnradio.com.
