It may seem like there is a never-ending amount of companies designing cases for smartphones and tablets, but there are only a handful of them that are high quality offerings made to last longer than the device that it holds. Germany’s Kavaj may not be a household name in America when it comes to cases for your latest tech, but they are about to change that as they enter the US market with their stylish genuine leather cases in the coming weeks.
Kavaj is at CES 2013 in Las Vegas this week to showcase some of the popular cases for the iPhone and iPad, and instead of having a portfolio of a dozen different cases with minimal design differences, they instead focus on bringing only a few quality options to market. You would expect quality to be the main factor from a German company wouldn’t you?
It appears that all of their cases are offered in a portfolio design, with some featuring built-in holders for documents and business cards. The iPad cases take some cues from Apple’s smart case, which allows for convenient viewing angles depending on how you intend to use the device. Surprisingly, the “Berlin” case that features a similar feature-set as Apple’s Smart Case is being sold for the identical $49 price point but with leather instead of Polyurethane. We’d consider that a deal!
