The last several featured albums on German Pulse have focused on Top 40 artists, so to change things up we are going to go a little more traditional with a softer sound. Heinz Rudolf Kunze may be a familiar name if you were listening to German music back in the 80’s when he had such hits as Mit Leib und Seele and Dein ist mein ganzes Herz, and even though he hasn’t been able to match the success of his earlier career, it hasn’t stopped him from releasing new material.
“Hier rein da raus” is a double album filled with a blend of soft rock, blues, and country tunes that will appeal to audiences young and old. For our readers that prefer the more traditional schlager hits from Germany’s past, you may find a few songs on the album that will open your ears to a slightly updated German sound. The more bluesy hits Sie hassen dich, Sisyphos TV and the Johnny Cash sound of Der Kartenleger will have you tapping your feet and make you feel like you’re in a German version of the Southern US. It may be outside of your normal musical listening habits, but I highly recommend checking out a few of the songs from “Hier rein da raus”.
