It’s always great to see the Germanic heritage and customs brought to life in creative ways, and even the littlest of things can make you appreciate it a little more. There are many German Americans, or recent German immigrants, that get tired of the same old oom-pah music being played at every German event they attend. Yes, there is a time and place for that type of music, but there is so much more that Germany has contributed to the music scene. Anyways, I came across this video that based on the title wouldn’t normally draw me in, but the thumbnail image made me take a second look.
“German song Ziggy Zaggy, Ziggy Zaggy, Hoi Hoi Hoi Oktoberfest” features four kids (3 girls, 1 boy) singing the song while play the stings and saxophone. Check it out below and I bet you’ll find some fresh enjoyment out of the often overplayed song.
