Eisbrecher may be known as a heavy metal band that fits in with the likes of Rammstein, but don’t let their classification stop you from checking out their latest release “Die Hölle Muss Warten“. After releasing their lackluster album “Eiszeit” in 2010, Eisbrecher has come back with a much more solid release that has also tamed down their heavy metal sound to be a bit more radio friendly and reach out to a wider audience. While some Eisbrecher fans may not like this move, I am a fan.
Die Hölle Muss Warten is still on the heavy rock side of the music genres, but the songs are well-balanced with strong tracks brimming with powerful guitars, drums, synths, and the solid vocals from lead singer Alexander Wesselsky. The songs all have catchy beats that avoid too much of the distorted sounds and heavy screaming that you would expect from a metal band. This becomes apparent after listening to the opening track, “Tanz mit mir”, which will have you quickly bobbing your head and singing along to the chorus.
I highly recommend checking out this album even if you aren’t a fan of metal music. Die Hölle Muss Warten is a welcomed change for Eisbrecher that will surely grab the ears of a new group of listeners.
