
Users of Berlin’s underground Friedrichstraße rail station got a chance to experience a new augmented reality advertisement for the new Mercedes Viano. Mercedes figured out the common wireless signals transmitted by all the remote unlock car key buttons and were able to set up a set of digital displays that allowed passerby’s to use their own car key to virtually unlock the onscreen Viano. The vehicle’s door would slide open to reveal various figures coming out to surprise the user. Check out the video below to see how the campaign was created and to see it in action.
