German Fighter Jets Rogue Airplane

Footage Shows German Fighter Jets Intercepting Airplane Gone Quiet

With airplane safety being a worldwide concern, having a 777 aircraft filled with passengers go quiet thousands of feet in the air is enough to cause alarm. During a recent flight from Mumbai to London on Jet Airways, that was just the case while flying over Germany, leading to two German fighter jets rushing out to see what was up.

Sending out jets to investigate in-air abnormalities is not completely uncommon, but capturing the mid-air situation unfold is a sight to see. Thanks to a close by British Airways flight, we can get a glimpse of the action, which thankfully wasn’t much as the Indian airline lost contact due to a technical problem. Having the German jets on the scene wasn’t a complete waste though as with their help, communications were finally restored and the flight landed safely at its London destination.
