Chainsaw Prank

German Teen Nearly Loses Hand After Chainsaw Prank Goes Bad

Teenagers can do stupid shit sometimes, and this week the stupid shit prize goes to a group of teens who thought it would be a good idea to copy a viral video that involves waking someone up with a chainsaw. No joke.

The four friends, ranging in age from 15 to 22, were celebrating the Christmas holiday in the small town of Wickede in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. When one of the teenage boys was sleeping, the others decided to reenact, and film, the chainsaw video that had been making the rounds. After being startled awake from the noise, the boy reacted by pushing the chainsaw away, but unlike the original video, the chains were intact here and the prank involved a serious trip to the ER.

Despite the serious hand injury, it looks like the teen will be keeping his hand, but for the others, there are some potentially serious repercussions ahead for them. Police have confiscated the video file, and according to a police spokesman, the 22-year-old who was holding the chainsaw will likely have a court case in his future as charges of inflicting dangerous bodily harm are expected, even though at the time he thought the chain break was on.

Check out the video that inspired the madness below. Do not attempt this though!
