Marlene Mortler - Thoughts on Weed and Alcohol

Marlene Mortler’s Wacky Social Media Fight Against the Wacky Tobacky

By Stephen Fuchs on Email @StephenWFuchs

German Drug Commissioner Marlene Mortler can be quite the character in the fight against marijuana, often saying the oddest things to support her distaste for the notion of it becoming legalized. While it is feasible for someone to offer a somewhat solid case against the drug, Mortler often takes the wackiest approach to ban the wacky tobacky, as is evident in her anti-marijuana Facebook page.

Instead of only making a case against legalization, Mortler instead uses the page to push the use of alcohol as an alternative, causing some critics to call her unfit for the position as she sets a double standard.

Mottler’s wackiness borders on insanity and is a train wreck waiting to happen and the Facebook page can be a wild trip that might just make you want to smoke that joint with a bottle of Jim Beam. “Cannabis is illegal because it is illegal” and “In the case of cannabis legalization, everything would be as usual, only worse” are two of her solid arguments.

Get the picture? No? Well that’s okay… take a hit and check out her wonderful feelings on pot and booze below:
