BMW Envisions the Motorcycle of the Future and I Want to Take a Ride

By Stephen Fuchs on Email @StephenWFuchs

I may have never ridden a motorcycle, but if BMW were to actually create their futuristic motorcycle concept shown yesterday in LA, that would probably change.

The BMW Vision Motorrad Next 100 (why must the future contain complicated names), with its low profile carbon fiber body, has just the right amount of style that’s part inviting and part menacing. And while it may look simple with no bells and whistles, think again.

This bike is actually packed with quite the set of technology and sensors that provide a self-balancing system that is sure to make even the most unexperienced rider, like myself, feel a sense of safety and assurance that we’ll keep from spending time on the asphalt.

Sure, this is only a concept and I can only dream for now, but its fun to imagine a future in the positive.
