With an overabundance of social media apps available in your pocket, there are more opportunities than ever before to find fame, but the key is finding a way to stand out among the other millions of users that are trying for their spotlight. For a pair of twin sisters in Germany, it was lip-syncing that got them their fame with millions of fans.

Lisa and Lena saw an opportunity in the social video app musical.ly, an app that lets it’s mostly teen users create short clips of themselves lip-synching to their favorite songs. Making a simple lip-synching video stand out requires effort to make it into something original, which is what these German sisters did.
