Lufthansa Wants You To Book A Room in the Sky on Airbnb

Airbnb, the popular home-sharing service that has put pressure on all major hotel chains, is known for having some pretty creative listings, and now German airline Lufthansa is getting on board with their own listing, and it’s actually not that bad of a deal.

“Luxury Awaits Above the Clouds” is the heading of Lufthansa’s offer for a one bedroom, four bath accommodation that offers TV, Wifi, heating and air… yes, its your standard airline seat.

Lufthansa isn’t providing a private cabin, but it has done a pretty good job at selling a Premium Economy Seat that makes it sound like you are getting a one-of-a-kind travel accommodation.

Our cabin isn’t in the woods, but in the sky! Personal food and beverage service at 910km/h.¬†Multimedia entertainment is included in our Lufthansa Premium Economy Seat from Frankfurt to NYC and WiFi is available. Includes return flight.

While you won’t be treated like royalty, the deal is pretty good. The roundtrip offer requires a four-day minimum stay, but it comes at a price of only $792, which is considerably lower than what you would pay without the offer, costing upwards of $3000. That’s quite the savings.
