Rare Dirndl’s newest summer collection, #GirlsWhoTravel, shows the Chicago-based fashion company still knows how to make the traditional German dirndl fashionable in 2016, with its bright colors and modern styling, but there’s an additional twist to the latest collection — each dirndl comes with a story.

The dirndl’s in the #GirlsWhoTravel collection come inspired by a fictional story of a girl who has set out to travel the world and document her journey on Instagram using the collection’s hashtag.

In addition to following the journey visual journey on Instagram, a more detailed background on each girl and her story will be revealed on Rare Dirndl’s blog, to enhance the magical inspiration behind each design.

On Tuesday, the first story following Anni, who grew up in the suburbs of Detroit Michigan and played soccer all her life, went live and shares the story on how she finds her way to Brazil for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

Now who doesn’t want to say their bright new dirndl comes with its own unique story?

The full line of the #GirlsWhoTravel summer collection will be available online as well as being on display at German Fest in Milwaukee on July 29-31.
