Berlinica Advent

The Advent Calendar is a long-standing tradition in Germany that over the years caught on here in the States, and while the chocolate treats are always a favorite, some offer prizes of another nature. Berlinica Publishing has kicked off the season with a new Adventskalender surprise on their Facebook page, and are giving a special bonus to those who sign up for their newsletter… a free eBook.

Berlinica is known to publish very specialized books on German historical topics that are of interest to an American audience, and its rare to see such a generous promotion. Anyone that signs up for the newsletter leading up to Christmas can choose between one of two eBooks, Mark Twain in Berlin or a famed story by Kurt Tucholsky, The Times are Screaming for Satire.

In addition to the freebie, two additional ebooks will be raffled off to subscribers, a copy of Wings of Desire — Angels of Berlin, by Lother Heinke, and one copy of Leipzig! One Thousand Years of German History. Bach, Luther, Faust: The City of Books and Music, by Sebastian Ringel.

So head on over to their Facebook page for the daily Advent treat and sign up for the newsletter if your interested in their rare freebie.
