100 Years of Beauty German

A media company based in Seattle has been releasing “100 Years of Beauty” videos throughout the past year showcasing hairstyle trends of women around the world, and last week the latest 90 second video focused on the fashion trends of Germany.

The video, like its counterparts, starts off in 1910 and brings the viewer along for a time-lapsed journey to present day hair styles. Because of the post-war separation of Germany into East and West, those decades come with a side-by-side comparison of the two differing trends in women’s hair.

Depending on when you grew up, some of the styles may bring back some fashion memories, good and bad. There were also two videos done for American trends earlier in the year, featuring styles for both white and black women.
