Without taking any plot into consideration, the German heist thriller Victoria is already an impressive film considering that the entire two and a half hour movie was shot in a single continuous take. The film has won numerous awards in Germany already, and a new trailer has just been released for U.S. audiences.

The movie is centered around Victoria, a girl who moved from Spain to Berlin, and despite living in the city for three months, does not speak German or know anyone in her new home town. When she meets some new men at a club, her newfound friendship leads her from a night of partying into a wild bank heist.

Victoria isn’t the first film to be shot in one continuous take, but the feat is still very rare in cinema. At over two hours long, it is impressive that it only took three attempts to get it right.

A U.S. theatrical releases is expected late summer or early fall 2015.
