A trip to Germany wouldn’t be complete without a stop into one of the many local bakeries. Just the scent of the fresh backed breads and pastries will make you hungry. And while strudel and Black Forest cakes may be your go-to choice, Germany’s baked goods are much more extensive and will give your tastebuds a welcomed wakeup call if you know what to order.

Swissotel put together an extensive infographic “Let’s get Kuchen – German bakes from Baumkuchen to Zimtschnecke” which focuses on some of Germany’s best loved and famous baked goods including stollen and brezel. Four baking experts also weigh in to provide a little trivia on the tasty treats.
