German Fest, Milwaukee’s Original HAUS Party, is looking to draw even larger crowds to the summer festival this year by introducing a new ‘Jams on Tap’ concert series that will feature headline performances from Bret Michaels, Plain White T’s and Three Dog Night.

Since introducing a Battle of the Bands competition in 2011, German Fest has made an effort to make itself a music-centered fest that pushes the boundaries. Music has always played a key role in making German Fest a success, but organizers have recognized that it doesn’t all have to be a traditional oompah event.

German Fest director Klaus Fromme sees the fest as being “rooted in fun and celebration and by tapping big stage acts supported by local area musicians, the festival will appeal to a broad range of fairgoers… Our focus is to provide an engaging, entertaining, and culturally rich haus party on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan.”

You may be asking yourself what these headlining bands have to do with a German celebration, but Fromme has it covered. “Celebrating music, whether polka or rock, is part of German history. The Star-Club in Hamburg, Germany, was a popular venue that hosted The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and Jerry Lee Lewis. With Jams on Tap, we hope to expand that concept and draw even more people from the region.”

Tickets to the headlining musical acts at the BMO Harris Pavilion Stage are not included in the German Fest admission price. However, each ticket to a show does includes admission to the festival.

Below are the times and costs for the ‘Jams on Tap’ performances. Tickets are now on sale:
