Georgia’s 2012 German Street Soccer Cup Kicks Off This Sunday

Atlanta area soccer players between the ages of 8 and 16 have a chance to use their German language skills during a friendly soccer tournament this Sunday, November 18, at the 3rd annual German Street Soccer Cup.  16 tri-lingual teams (other foreign language players are involved) will be put together for some 5 vs 5 games.  Each game consists of two 10 minute periods so that the competition can have a declared winning team before the day is over.

This is a great way for kids to practice their second languages while sharing a common interest.  There is no fee to take part in the tournament, but participants must register by Wednesday, November 14, by going online since space is limited (Click on the source link to register).  The winners will receive the 2012 German Street Soccer Cup Trophy, but everyone has a shot at some great gear from the German National Soccer Team!
