YouTube To Expand Original Content Channels to Germany With 12 New Shows

It has been almost a year since YouTube announced their plans for providing original content channels on the popular video site, and with the top 25 channels already ranking in an impressive million plus views every week, the company is ready to expand the concept to Europe.  By getting popular celebrities on board, the original shows are beginning to show that YouTube can compete with the major networks, and in Germany they are hoping to do so with 12 new shows.

With a range of comedies, sports, and lifestyle shows, YouTube is confident that they will be able to see similar success in Germany.  YouTube will be able to capitalize on the new shows with advertisements that can be more closely targeted to the audience than the traditional media outlets already exist have been able to do.  The new shows should be going live before the end of the year and we are hoping that there won’t be any blocks put in place for out of country web viewers.  You can find a link to the new German channels in the source link below.
