Featured Album: “Explizite Lyrik” by J.B.O.

Although the album isn’t brand new, one of J.B.O.’s finest albums, “Explizite Lyrik”, has been re-released as a digital download after it brought fame to the band back in 1995.  If you have never heard of J.B.O., just imagine a German version of Weird Al Yankovic with a side of metal.  That is the best way I can describe this German group and if you don’t know who Weird Al is, well… he creates parodies of popular songs by replacing the lyrics with often humorous alternatives.

Even with the album being 17 years old, you’ll find that is is still surprisingly fresh and fun.  It may even pass among your non-German friends since the German lyrics are set to some very familiar American tunes.  Keep in mind though that as the album’s title suggests, some of the lyrics are not appropriate for all ages.  However, with the right crowd, this classic J.B.O. album can be reborn as your latest German party mix.

Songs to Listen To:
Mir sta’dd’n etz die Feier
Mei Alde is’ im Playboy drin
Schlumpfozid im Stadtgebiet
Ejaculatio Praecox
