Germany Designer Envisions Instaglasses Concept

If you own a smartphone, chances are you have downloaded, or at least heard of, the popular photo effect and sharing app Instagram.  For those of you that have not, Instagram is an app that allows users to take photos with their phone and apply various photo effects to the pictures and then share it with friends.  It is a simple concept, but it has taken off and has recently been purchased by Facebook for roughly $1 billion.

German designer Markus Gerke came up with a clever product concept that would integrate Instagram into your daily life.  This is just a concept and not an actual product due for release.  Gerke’s design is for a pair of glasses, Instaglasses, that users would wear and have capture your life with Instagram filters applied.  Forget about pulling your cellphone out of your pocket to create a filtered picture… your glasses would be ready for you at any moment.

Check out the images of the product concept below… it’s a creative idea for a product we will probably never see.  This is just another example of some great design work and creative ideas coming out of Germany.
