Last Saturday, the New York Steuben Parade committee crowned the new Miss German-America, Kirsten Mueller, at Hofbrau Bierhaus NYC in Manhattan. Miss Mueller will be riding in the German-American Steuben Parade “Queen’s Float” on September 15 along with her court, which includes the two princesses recently crowned: Elise Wilkinson and Kyra Schugt.  Miss German-America does more than just appear at the parade though. Kirsten Mueller will be attending German cultural events throughout the tri-state area all year to share her passion and knowledge of the German culture.

Departing Queen Denise Manukian reflected on her year by stating that “It’s been such a whirlwind of activities. I’m so proud that I was able to represent the German-American culture in such a unique way. I look forward to many more parades to come and more opportunities to showcase my pride.”
