Films By Up-and-Coming Berlin Filmmakers to Be Screened in New York

The Goethe-Institut New York is going to be holding a free film screening event featuring various works by Berlin filmmakers on April 14. The long list of filmmakers are made up of new names and there are plenty to see at this event. All films will also have English subtitles for those who aren’t fluent in German.

As a bonus, a short film by the late Christoph Schlingensief will be played for the audience. Schlingensief, an award-winning German filmmaker, passed away in August of 2010 just before winning a Golden Bear at the 2011 Venice Biennale.

The screenings will take place at the Goethe-Institut Wyoming Building located at 5 East 3rd Street in New York at 5:00pm, 6:30pm, and 8:00pm.

Find all the details for this free event on the Goethe-Institut New York website.
